4 month old urination issues

I've had a rather rough day and will try to keep this to the point. I have a 4month old baby girl, she's nursed unless I am unable to pump enough milk for when I am at work then she is supplemented with formula. Her health has been great ( thankfully through the entire winter ) and I am not one of those parents who calls the doc at every sniffle. This morning I got up checked on her she was awake went to change her diaper and to my surprise it was completely dry! The last time I changed it was around 8:30 the night before, then it was only a little wet, I had just changed her diaper 2hrs before and it was soaked so at that time I didn't think anything of it.

The pediatrician has a # for times the office is called so they made me an apt for 11. Got there doc on call was at the hospital nurse said she as trying to get a different one to come in. Never happened noon came around nurse , tells me she isn't sure where the doc is but gives me the option of waiting until 1 then they can page the doc or rescheduling me for a later time in the day.

At that point I am already worried my baby may have an infection ( she has peed by now, but she was having a fit while doing so )  and I tell her if it's the case I want to know, says she understand but the doc has to have lunch. Leaves the room, now I am upset trying to not get mad I get the baby ready walk out and I loose it when the receptionist asks me what she can do. I tell her yeah get me a doc to see my kid so I know there isn't anything wrong with her, that I called this morning and that they thought it was important enough for me to come but yet make us wait an hr to tell me i have to wait yet another hr or reschedule.

That gets their attention, manager comes out tells me they are getting me a doc and apologizes ( there is more then one doc in the office it is no excuse )  doc checks her asks me a few questions: temp - no, fussy more then usual, spitting up the day before ( Lily ) was spitting up ya stomach bug going around but NOT TO WORRY unless she only pees in a 24 hr period. No why she isn't peeing normal, what I can do to try to help just have a nice day call if there are any problems or concerns.

I've been irate all day, Lily has peed twice since then but it's not normal for her, and the manager from the doc's office did call me and ask if things were resolved. Of course they weren't I didn't get my answer, and she did sound really concerned after finding out I wasn't given any follow-up information. You can't tell me that a 4month old not peeing for a 12hr + period is normal and not to be concerned. I am worried it is some type of infection and if that is the case it is only gong to get worse because it is not being treated either by the doc or with home remedies.

Anyone have any ideas at all? I normally change her diaper every feeding ( 2hrs ) and it is always soaked or close to being that way. She's crying when she's peeing, I have been completely anal about feeling her diaper and after she fusses its damp or wet.

My daughter had a urinary tract infection at 5 months old.  I don't remember her not urinating but I do remember a foul odor coming from her diaper.  At the doctors office they applied a taped bag to her vagina and we waited until she urinated in order to get a fresh sample.  We found out she had an infection due to a small urethra.  After some antibiotics she was better.  Don't give up.  If your instincts are telling you something is wrong then keep calling them.
Good Luck!

I tried looking up what I could online and there are ways to do that, they acted as if it was not a problem or that they weren't the list bit concerned. She has a 4mnth check up with a different doc next week so I am going to bring it up to him. Luckily she has been doing just fine and her urine is back to normal now though.

I think you should collect a urine sample (I don't know how you'd do that,  actually) and take it to the doc's office so they can look at it in the lab.
