Hi,
I have an 8 yr old daughter that was referred to a ped. endo due to her height being so behind. After months of testing, bone age, growth stimulating in the hospital everything has come back fine but the endo is going to review the bone age because all she has is the radiologist report. This last visit she ran a more extensive panel of thyroid function. Here are the numbers T4 total 8.1, TSH 2.92, Thyroid peroxidase as 64, Thyroglobulin AB <20, T4 free direct dialysis 1.9. So the only number that is concerning is the thyroid peroxidase which from what I have read is an indicator for hashimoto or graeves. Now I personally had thyroid cancer when I was 24 and now I'm concerned about her potential for a thyroid disorder. Could this thyroid issue be responsible for her delayed growth? are their any suggestions on what my next steps should be. I'm very confused and concerned. Thanks
