My daughter is 1yr and 4Mo she only says momma and dada, she can follow instructions,point to what she wants, and babbles all the time, despite this info the pediatrician told us we would need to see a specialist for the speech issue.has anyone been through this

I think she is still too young,children vary and some do not talk till 2years old as she is babbling what reason did he give for saying she should see a specialist . we have a Language and speech forum on Med Help you may get some further information on there ..good luck
