My 18 month old stopped breathing from a fall

My 18 mnth old tripped Saturday and bit his lip. While holding him to check his lip he turned blue and his eyes rolled back. I snapped him out of it after about 40 seconds. The on-call Dr said he probably held his breath due to pain. But he wasnt even crying!
Yesterday, Tuesday, he was cranky all day, fever on and off, and just not acting himself. Every time he fell asleep, he would jerk his whole body and be awake again! He did not sleep at all last night, vomited 2x and is still cranky. I dont know that I trust the pediatrician right now so what should I do? Are these things all related?

I would take him in to the DR. That just doesn't seem right. ( maybe a different DR) He could have hit his head too or something.

When he tripped did he hit his head aswell ? I think in my opinion that you should take him to the ER for an evaluation he could be concussed .A phone call isnt enough.Good luck let us know how he is .
