My son is 12, he hasn't been feeling good for three days now. The first night he awoke screaming in pain because his stomache hurt and he felt if he got up he was going to be sick,he also had a severe headache with cold sweats. The second day he felt weird all day, come dinner time he started getting a fever and bad headaches again, so i gave him advil. He woke up around 2 a.m with diareha, headache, fever around 101.8 and cold sweats again. The next day he had fever and headache again, so more advil. He also had the fever, haedache and cold sweats again. We are now on day 4, he awoke with a headache, feeling dizzy and a fever of 101.9. It dosen't look like he has any bites or ticks on him either. Please help, don't know what to do.

This is ver y likely a virus we have many moms this year on the varying child forums telling us similar and it even reoccurs .It is always good when a parent is really concerned for their child to speak to their Doctor .Keep him hydrated with plenty of liquids, water. Before the symptoms did he eat anything unusual as that is the other concern that it may be food related ..He should see the Doctor in case it is and he needs meds ,.Good Luck let us know how he is doing .

What about his apetite? Does he have any blood in his stool? How did his stomach ache progressed? Most probably, he is having a gastoenteritis, which gradually should subside (usually after 3-4 days of symptoms and signs). If he keeps on complaining about headache and/or other symptoms he should be examined by a pediatrician.
