Please help!

What is a branchial cleft cyst? Is it safe to have it surgically removed?

A branchial cleft cyst is a lump that develops in the neck or just below the collar bone.,it is a type of birth defect,they form during development of the embryo.they occur when tissues in the neck and collarbone  fail to develop normally .Most require no treatment except possible anti biotics if infected ,if surgery is required results are good... here is a link with information  health.nytimes.com>Times Health Guide >b
