knee pain at 2 ???no injuries what could it be

My son wakes up at night with his knee hurting. I have notices sometimes it is with the weather changes. But it looks kind of funny. Several trips to the dr and x-rays twice and blood work to see if anything is wrong. They did not find anything. It is off and on, only at night usually. His knees kind of look enlarged..swollen I am not sure. I do not  think it is just growing pains. I need help too...I am going Friday to see if we can go to a specialist. I want to make sure it is nothing serious!

get lymes out of your head its not that 100% certain unless followed by full body aches and hes acting funny.  allthough it only takes 1 tick the chances it is that is not good.  You have a better chance winning the lottery twice in a week.  You really have to have been exposed to alot of ticks before it becomes an issue

look into Osgood-Schlatters Disease very commom in youngsters he will grow out of it.  I had it as a kid.  It can be painful at times.  this is my best way to put it to you it is  a condition where the bony protrusion below the knee (called the tibial tuberosity or tubercle) becomes inflamed, painful and swollen.

ASK YOUR DOC ABOUT IT AND DONT STRESS OUT

The doctor said he would get chewed out if he sent us to a specialist and told me to stop obsessing about his knee. I us very upset and told him I am not one of those types of parents who don't care about my child! He said he is knocked kneed and the pain is nothing serious since everything cam back ok. He said since he is active and tests are clear he is ok. He said he does not doubt the pain but that it is not due to anything serious. The solution he gave me was motrin and to watch if it is hot to the touch, swollen and red all at the same time then to bring him back in right away.

Lyme’s?? would that have shown in the blood work they did and wouldn't there be wore symptoms???
