I know in Europe it is given earlier so it depends where you live here in the US we do say 6 months or near it, as their digestion is still delicate ,why do you want to give it them so early ?.

about 6 months. no sooner they can get sick easy

My pediatrician said at 6 months.  NOT in the bottle, they can aspirate it and get pneumonia.  From a spoon.

they tell us 5 to 6 months but i done it early with baby rice both my children are fine too

my daughter is now 16 month old and they told be not to start them on any solid foods till five months i started her at 4 months and she is fine.. just do not put it in there bottles.
