2.5 year old girl with excess hair growth

My daughter is 2.5 and I am concerned that she is overly hairy.

she does not have pubic or underarm hair.

Her whole face is almost furry - she has blond hairs, many at least 2mm long all over her face  - cheeks, chin, upper lip, right up to under her eyes (where they are slightly shorter). It is not immediatley noticeable but looks quite bad in the sunlight.

Our pediatrician just laughed it off and said it was her type, although he didn't take a close look.

Both her father and I are relativey hairy but nothing like this. Her two older brothers do not have hair on their faces like this.

should I take her to a pediatric endocrinologist or is our pediatrician right, and it is just the way she is?

Thank you very much for your help!

I would agree with your Doctor that this is nothing to worry about and as you have said both of you are 'hairy' its a genetic factor , however I always think parents should go with their gut and if you are concerned then yes get it checked out further .Good Luck
