dirty feet touching underwear?

My daughter is 2 1/2 yrs. old and is/has been potty training in some aspect for the past year.  Her father and I are disagreeing on the importance of not letting her dirty bare feet touch her pull-ups/underwear when taking them off or putting them on.  She is generally running around in bare feet and we have mostly hard wood floors, so by the end of the day her feet are filthy.  I am concerned that her dirty feet are going to cause vaginal infection by coming in contact with her underwear or pull-up diapers.  I've tried putting socks on her, but she ends up taking them off at some point anyway.  I would appreciate any advice or info. to convince her father that I'm not just being paranoid.  On the other hand, if this does sound over-protective or extra precautionary, feel free to let me know that as well.  Thanks!

P.S.  My floors do get cleaned, but as I am 7 mos. pregnant it's not necessarily the standard I'd like them to be at this time.

I kind of appreciate this comment, because when I put my son into pullups or underwear, I'm always conscious of not letting him drag his feet through the leg-holes if he's been out and about barefoot.  And he doesn't even have a vagina.

I guess the kind of dirt that's on a floor probably won't give her a vaginal infection, but that said, I'd take a washcloth to her feet at changing time if she slides them through her underwear with abandon.  A middle ground.  :)

what good parents ..I haven't had one like this before , I have to say....extra precautionary....it makes sense but I don't think a bit of dirt hurts in fact I think dirt is good for kids .. hey may be a good idea to realise she is going to be jealous when the little one arrives and work on that .
