pain between toes and fingers

Hi,
My 5 years old son complains of extreme pain 2 to 3 times a month between his toes (2nd & 3rd) and sometimes the fingers also between (2nd & 3rd). I usually massage that part or press hard to relieve the pain. I've taken him to a couple of pediatrician, but he's not been diagnosed to have any serious. His blood work result was normal. I'm now trying to research what causes this particular pain in  my son's fingers and toes on my own as we've seen 2 specialists without any diagnosis. Please help. Thanks.

We suffer from the same thing in our family. Does he want you to lock your fingers in his and squeeze as hard as you can? Auto immune / fibro I believe may be the source. My youngest is 9 and also complains.
