Port Wine Stain Removal Help

Hello,
My friend has a large port wine stain birthmark on her left leg from the middle of her thigh to her foot. She bleeds frequently because of it and does not seem to mind it at all. But, I am scared for her. Her birthmark is not only red but consists of many bumps and is dark red to purple in color. How much would it cost to remove it?

Port Wine Stains(PWS) are actually not too uncommon. There is no way to completely remove it, but there are treatments to help control it or make it less visible. Type in "Vascular Birthmark Foundation" into google or another search engine and go to that website. It has a lot of information on PWSs and treatment options for it, along with a list of doctors who are familiar with treatment for it. Insurance should cover much of the cost, but that has to be discussed with the doctor.
