Hi - Have you had it put in a third time yet? I am going in on Friday ot get my right one back in but it's only been 6 weeks and I hope that's enough time. Let me know how ur went. I might postpone mine just in case. Oh, I had a very minor infection at incision site. and have been off antiobiotics for 3 weeks and just in the last couple days (i have been working out hard too) but my chest is sensitive to breathing in deeply. My boob feels fine and I can fondle it fine but it feels like its inside.
Hi, initially after both ops I have been on antibiotics and the first time the infection came after 14days by which I had stopped the antibiotics and the second time I was still on the antibiotics when the infection started. My wound healed perfectley with no infection there on both occasions, it was inside where the infection was. Thanks
Thanks for replying. How many goes did you try before the final decision to give up and what was the time span between each op? It is very frustrating espeacially as my left one has been great, love it and no problems whatsoever and I agree there are no real explanations given which makes it worse. And lastly do your breasts look worse than before the ops, ie more saggy as well as the scarring issue to contend with. Thanks again for your time.
Are you on preventative antibiotics? The area has to be kept very clean, as with any wound opening. good luck.
I feel for you. I had the same problem and ended up getting both removed due to recurring infection in my left breast...no real explanation,..really frustrating. Hopefully for you 3rd time is a charm!
I scarred bady also. I used a great scar reduction strip called scaraway. Really helpful shielding from the pain of bra/clothes after surgery, too.
Good luck with everything
