Hey ladies. I found out I have pocs at the beginning of the year. My husband and I had already been trying to have a baby but we waited a little to start clomid. Well we just started clomid this is our first round. I'm on day 13. And took clomid days 5-9. We were told to have inter course days 12,14 and 16. I was just wanted some success stories and encouragement. We really want this to work.

Thank you or responding to me. I am now on day 19 and ovulated yesterday around 5 and did another ovulation test  today around 12 pm. I know they say not to test again after a positive test but I couldn't help myself. Anyways that one also came out positive. My question is did I ovulate both day or is it the same 24 hours and that's why it's still positive? Or is the clomid messing with the results? We had intercourse on days 12,14,16 and 18. I'm only on clomid and know most women with pcos conceive when they are taking metformin and clomid. This is only my first month trying with medication but I'm hoping that clomid by itself works for us.

Hello,
Most women with PCOS don't ovulate and thus cannot become pregnant. So the first treatment option for infertility is usually the administration of drugs to induce ovulation like Clomid which you have already started . Secondly Glucophage or Metformin is an insulin-sensitizing agent that is sometimes used in conjunction with Clomid.

Please discuss this treatment opton also with your doctor.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
