Getting a bit fed up now, but finally getting somewhere I hope.
Went and complained again to th doctor. He has finally sent me for more tests.
Had a pelivic examination to feel for cysts, but noting there!
Got an ultrasound appointment next friday, so hopefully will show something up there.
The doctor who gave me the pelic examination prescribed me Buscopan, which is an antispasmodic! She seemed to think that I am just having muscle spasms!
Taking them anyway to see if they will help a bit. They're not though.
I would go see another doctor if I was you.
I saw one doctor who told me that there was really nothing wrong with me than saw another who knew what she was doing and found out that i have the very first stage of PCOS.
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah that does sound like it a bit,
the severe menstrual cramps, back ache, pain during sex, heavy and long periods, mood swings and fatigue.
I'm seeing my GP on Thursday so will have to push for some more tests. I desperately want to start having children and am getting very worried that this may be affecting my fertility.
Just started getting a numb sensation down my right thigh. not sure if this is connected or not! I'm not sure whether to mention this to my GP he is the sort that will think I am being a hypercondriac!
Thanks for your insight.
Hey Hun,
This sounds like endometriosis to me, my BFF has it and her sister was put on the pill because of the heaviness of her cycles. My BFF said the pain at her menses were excruciating to the point of nauseua.
Symptoms of endometriosis can include (but are not limited to):
dysmenorrhea - Painful, sometimes disabling menstrual cramps; pain may get worse over time (progressive pain) also lower back pains linked to the pelvis
Recurrent Miscarriage - Any pregnancy that occurs, ends before 2 to 3 months, resulting in severe stomach cramps and vomiting and some bleeding.
Chronic pelvic pain - typically accompanied by lower back pain and/or abdominal pain.
dyspareunia - Painful sex
dyschezia - Painful bowel movements
Nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea - particularily during PMS and the period
dysuria - Urinary urgency, frequency, and sometimes painful voiding
Infertility and subfertility. Endometriosis may lead to fallopian tube obstruction. Even without this, there may be difficulty conceiving. In some women, subfertility is the sole symptom, and the endometriosis is only discovered after fertility investigations.
frequent menses flow or short menstrual cycle.
Heavy and/or long menstrual periods.
Some women may also suffer mood swings and fatigue.
In addition, women who are diagnosed with endometriosis may have gastrointestinal symptoms that may mimic irritable bowel syndrome.
Patients who rupture an endometriotic cyst may present with an acute abdomen as a medical emergency. Endometriotic cysts in the thoracic cavity may cause some form of thoracic endometriosis syndrome, most often catamenial pneumothorax.
Does that sound like any of the symptoms you are having?
