Don't worry, you can have children with PCOS. My friend has PCOS and she now has a daughter. She's over 40 years old, thisi s her first child.
Good idea to find a specialist but you also need to read up about imbalanced hormones on your own so you'll be prepared to ask questions.
Read Breakthrough by Susanne Somers good book.
I see a holistic MD because I also have imbalance hormones, he was able to answer my questions more clearly than my traditional doctor. I'm currently taking supplements no medication to help balance my hormones naturally. I too want to have children so I wanted to take a safer and more afforable route.
Diet and also important, eat more organic, wild caught foods, hormone free since you have issues. I would avoid anything soy due to your estrogen levels.
Best of luck to you!
Hi, I'm 34 I was diagnosed with PCOS 10 years ago, I was like you and totally distraught, my marriage went through hell I went through hell!! But all is not lost don't worry. I went on several courses of clomid (to help ovulation) and now have 2 beautiful children aged 8 and 5. Read up as much as you can but don't worry it won't all relate to you. Definately eat healthy thats key. I normally go by the Schwarzbein principle. I've recently started yoga too and thats helped with my hormonal outbursts!! Please feel free to ask me any questions, I'd be happy to help, I remember how alone I felt when I found out and internet wasn't like it is now back then!!
