PCOS and Provera

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago and have never had regular cycles in my life. Recently I decided to try the Pill so my dr put me on Provera 5 mg for 5 days 3 times a day before starting the Pill. Its day 5 after completing the course of Provera and still I have not gotten my period. Do most people on the 5 day course take longer than this to get their period? And is it possible to get pregnant during this time?

I took Provera and it took the WHOLE 10 days to show up! I would definitely give it a few more days. I too have never had a cycle that wasnt induced.

For some, Provera just not might work. You should also, if you haven't before try taking a home pregnancy test just to be on the safe side. Today should be day 10 for you. So if you have not started a period by today, consult your doctor.

This is rather interesting. Its day 8 after completing provera and still nothing. I do not believe that I am pregnant either, did an early detection test and it came back negative. My doctor is out of office for the next week!!

I just took provera 10mg for 10 days and it took 7 days for my af to show.  The nurse told me today that was typical.

It is possible that you are pregnant but provera can take up to 10 days to work.
