Please Read! Clomid question

Hi ladies!  I finally started AF after 125 days thanks to Provera. I am getting ready to start Clomid on Wednesday (50 mg days 5-9) and just wondered if anyone had success or any advice for me.  I had an LH blood test today (CD3) and also wondered what this will tell me.  Any words of wisdom will be appreciated!

I actually took clomid back in 2007, I started I believe in April. I actually got pregnant with the 4th round, but didn't even know it until i went to the hospital with some serious abdominal pains..found out I was pregnant and had a massive cyst on my ovary. I also have PCOS, but anyhow, I ended up miscarrying that pregnancy. I continued to take clomid after that and just by chance the last and final (6st) round I got pregnant again. Now, I have a beautiful, very smart 22 month old little girl who I absolutely adore. My husband and I have been together for just about 10 years and never have used protection, so, I don't think it will ever happen on it's own so we are about to start trying again. I know my doctor told me that women with PCOS may have a smaller window of conceiving than women who have a normal cycle. I don't want my daughter not to have any siblings if I can help it,so, here we go again. I just ordered it and I hope it works again.

girl I have been taking clomid today is the 3rd day. I have not had any side effects. And my dr didn't tell me anything about a possible miscarriage. So don't worry. We are in the same boat. So email me it u need advise. Take care. Everyone's body is different. The day before I started taking clomid I researched in till 2 am and never came across miscarriage stuff. The side effects blew me away too, but just take it at night u only have to take 5 pills so if it's bad it won't last forever and it's all worth it right?? LOL See ya

That is odd that the doctor took you off after one cycle. The clomid helped me ovulate the first time and the second I didn't. This cycle I am up to 100mg. Are you doing IUI as an alternate?

Clomid is not as scary as it sounds.  Unfortunately, my doctor had me go through only one cycle and now no more.  It didn't work at all for me that first cycle.  I did not produce enough follicles so I have to go to Plan B.  The Clomid did not affect me too negatively, but I know everyone is different.  The only side effect I had was hot flashes.  Those pretty much sucked, but I lived.  Just be prepared to maybe not see any results the first time, it could take 3 or 4.  I have heard that there is a higher risk of miscarriage with Clomid, but I think that unfortunately all of us with PCOS face that risk regardless.  Sorry for being brutally honest, but sometimes it helps.  Good luck to you and I hope the Clomid works for you.

Hello beautiful ladies! I am in the same boat here, I have PCOS and Epilepsy. My husband and I are TTC, and we went to my OB yesterday to talk about it. I have been taking Metformin (1000 mg) on and off for 5 years. I have been overweight for several years and my doc put me on Phentermine in April to help me loose weight. I have lost a total of 35 lbs and the doc says we are finally ready to start TTC. Three months ago, I stopped taking the Metformin because of the weight loss but my MC's stopped. Yesterday my doc put me on Provera to start the MC. I am also back on the Metformin and he wants me to take Clomid days 5-9. I am feeling excited, happy, sad and scared all at the same time. What about multiples? He wants me to come see him day 12 to be sure I am not producing too many eggs?! What if I do and what if I don't at all? HELP!! This ain't for sissy's.......seriously......any help is appreciated and thank you all for your comments, it's nice to know I'm not alone! Many blessings to you all!

Hey there, it seems like ure about to try for a baby and i want to say congrats towards ur first big step. The first time i used clomid i had a miscarriage. The second time i had a healthy baby girl who is 3going on 4 this year. The third time i used it which was about 3 months ago i had another miscarriage and i felt really depressed. I visited my doctor and he told me i could start trying again but this time im giving clomid a rest since i read up on other people's view which said it increases ur chances of a miscarriage. Im going all natural this time and im leaving in the hands of God cause i cannot handle another miscarriage. Please read up the side effects of clomid cause one major experience i had was seeing very blurry with alot of lines. Best of luck and remember when u visit the doctor u ask all the questions u want to ask cause thats wat ure paying for. Write them down on a piece of paper if u have to. All the best
