Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

I have just been diagnosised with pcos and wondering if anyone has this and have any suggestions on getting pregnant.  I found out since we are trying for a baby but have not had a period for 6 months now.  Is there anything I should know about anything that I need to watch out with this also?  I am going for a ultrasound today to see if there are any problems from it yet as far as cysis yet.  I am devastated by this since I have always wanted children.  Is there any help as far as emotions with this problem here for this or anyone who has gone through this that I can talk to.  Thank you in advance for any help

I have it too, I was diagnosed a week ago, I was trying to get pregnant too and periods were missed. I have had it in my late teens too, thought it was controlled but now it s back. I had a blood test and an ultrasound for assurance by the doc, usually ur LH, TSH and FSH levels are abnormal and the doc treats u accordingly. it is treatable and u can certainly have a baby normally, she has put me on pills for periods cycle to be normal and to lower my sugar level, I have gained enormous weight, and she s giving me clomid to get me pregnant, and says I ll be able to conceive in around six mths. I was  very depressed back then, more concerned cos it was back and with alot more symptoms, but a good gynecologist obstetrician always helps. it will be fine, u d have to keep ur weight down and would need pills for normal hormone regularity. it will be fine as I know, I am going through with the same. best of luck!
