Clomid helps with ovulation, but for me I was taking metformin for about 6mo. and I had to take provera to start my period and I had clomid left over and I took the clomid on day 3 of my cycle on Aug08 and Sept08 found out I was pregnant now I'm 8wks, but some times clomid doesnt work for everyone with pcos because I was using clomid before the metformin and it didnt work at all for me.So just remember if it doesnt work right away keep trying and dont give up.

You can buy the Soy Isoflavions at most any place, I found mine at Wal-mart for about $5. Hope this helps

If you can't get a Rx for clomid from your doc, I would say to try Soy Isoflavions... it works kind of like clomid in helping your body to grow eggs and in turn ovulate. I conceived my third baby using 60mg of it... sadly that ended in miscarriage at 15 weeks, but it had nothing to do with the soy. It is recommended for cycle days 3-7 or 5-9 just like comid, and start with a low dose like 60-80mg. If you have any questions message me, I'm not a doc or anything, but I have been through a whole lot.
