When to see an Endocrinologist for PCOS?

I am a 45 yr old woman. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2008. I don't have periods. I'm prediabetic, have severe fatigue, and depression. I have a family history of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. I feel like my PCOS is causing the severe fatigue and bad irritability and I do not feel like my regular doctor is getting to the bottom of the issues. With the symptoms and family history do I need an Endocrinologist to get to the bottom of things?
