Who is taking clomid?

I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on PCOS and infertility. I have it PCOS, and I have done plenty of research on it. I just want to know how many of you experienced luck with taking Clomid/metformin. I know this is such a generic question, but I’m curious. I started my first dose this cycle and so far no signs of ovulation. I’m just looking for some feedback-also which type of side effects did you have from Clomid? Thanks again! It helps me to feel somewhat reassured that this up hill battle is worth it in the end!

I started Clomid in 2009 after my M/C with no luck. Then I got on Metformin in May 2010. I have lost 50+ lbs, with Metformin. In Aug. I was given Femara, and havent had AF since then. I have taken 2 HPT and both have some back negitive. Yesterday 11/30, I took my Provera so we can jumpstart my AF, and hopfully take either Clomid or Femara. With Clomid 150mg I didn't have any side effects and With 100mg of Clomid, I was a total wrack! Femara 7mg, I was fine. When I was taking Clomid before I wasn't taking Metformin, but I have done alot of reading and my doc said that once Metformin has been taken for a while, the better "luck" you have/ or should I say the higher your chances for Clomid to work. We shell see, I will deff keep you up to date with what happens. I hope it works for you!

Thanks! I've always wanted to seek help from a holistic MD, but I haven't come across any near me, that I've heard good things about. I'm hoping that if this cycle of clomid doesn't work, that the 100mg will. I'm not going to keep going with it, if it isn't working. Maybe insemination is the route to try, guess it can't hurt.
Thanks again!

I tried clomid twice and it didn't work for me.  I did insemenation twice too and it didn't work.  I'm currently seeing a holistic MD and I'm taking the holistic route because my hormones are really off balanced and I didn't want to go back on the pill per suggested by my conventional MD.  It beats the purpose of getting pregnant?!?.

However, my friend did clomid and she got pregnant and another freind of mine did both clomid and insemenation and got pregnant.  So it works for some and others didn't.

You're hormones are imbalanced so hopefully it will work for you.   Also go on a low sugar/low carb diet to help with your hormones and the process you're going through.  I'm following Suzanne Somers diet because I enjoy eating fruit on my diet and I also wanted to see quicker results than a pound a week.

Good luck to you!
