thanks! I am on medication.. Metformin and Clomid! I was on it previously when i got pregnant with my youngest child who os 16 months! ever since i had my other child whom is now 5 my periods were extremely irregular so to get pregnant i was put on the metformin and clomid for the time being. After i had the baby.. i nursed for about 8 months so i did not get my period back right away.. My dr. seemed to think that my periods were just irregular and should go back to normal after i had the baby and stopped nursing. Since i stopped nursing, over the last 8 months i have had my period twice! So i went back to the dr and he told me that he wanted me to get an u/s done and that i have PCOS and wanted to make sure i didnt have any other underlying problems.. everything came back as normal as can be so no blockages or anything... I am back on the clomid and met because i was told that by the time i turn 20 my chances for uterine cancer are much higher and if i wanted another baby i should try now beacuse there is a procedure that can be dont to stop the build up in my uterus to reduce the risk of cancer cells forming. which in turn could possible make me infirtile and not get my period back! hope this all makes sense.. im still trying to understand this myself! let me know if this sounds right to you!
