unsure...

I've recently decided to take some gyno symptoms seriously and saw may doctor who thought i might have PCOS. My symptoms have been varied but generally are-

* irregualr periods- sometimes only 28 days between but other time up to 50 or 60 day between
* really bad stomach cramps just before i get my period...so painful i want to cry and can't move
* recently back pain..hasn't gone away since my last period 2 weeks ago...getting frustrating!
* i'm overweight and have acne..have recently had little appetite and get full really quickly
* i've had a really soft stomach and bloating most of the time
* exhaustion

i had an ultrasound done a year ago which showed i had a thin endometrium but my ultrasound last week showed my right ovary to be larger than my left, and it had dark black cysts on it. and no signs of a thin endometrium...In both scans my kidneys were fine

still waiting for blood results at the moment but just wondering if anyone has had similar problems and if they found out the cause? all my docotor really said was i might have PCOS...noting about it or anything so of course i googled it and was quite shocked at what it might mean if i do have it. i also found i have the symptoms of ovarian cancer and to an extend endometriosis...so i just want to try and set my mind at ease because i'm going crazy waiting!

thanks in advance

Having PCOS is not as bad as you may think. For some, it can be treated with diet and others need something like birth control or Metformin. I've had it for atleast 3 years, maybe longer. I take Metformin 2x a day, and it's helped with the weight loss for me. But it is very important to not let it go. Keeping your PCOS untreated can lead to infertility issues. So keep up with your doctor on this, and make sure they test all of your hormones. Thats another way of showing if you do have PCOS. I don't suffer from any pain during the month...cramps/back pain are only around the time of my period. Breast soreness is normally 2 weeks after my period until the next cycle starts, after that it goes away. My periods are normal, 3 days (birth control, probably why).

Your light appetite might be caused to a digestive issue, as well as the bloating/soft stomach. But also the bloating can be caused from the cysts as well.
