Thanks for your advice. I think I will wait until my next period is due, and judge from there (in about 2 weeks.)
I tend to think that if I tested negative, and considering my age, I'm not pregnant, but one can never be sure can they?
The period I had was due to stopping the pill mid cycle, but I have read time and time again, that women can have a few periods still while pregnant, and this wasn't meant to be, it was from missing the 3 pills. But due to the fact that I had a neg. test, I think I'm most likely not....
It seems like you tested maybe a bit early for absolute certainty. If you count two and a half weeks from the last unprotected sex and then test, you can be more sure. As for the relation to the period, it's hard to say. Probably the bleeding just cleared everything out, but the instructions with pills usually say not to trust a first cycle without using backup protection, and since your previous cycle was interrupted, the next cycle would be sort of like a fresh start entirely and might mean you're not as protected. If you want to get a better opinion on this, you might try the FAQ section of your pill's website, or call their 800 number.
