will turn 47 next month and will like to have a baby

Hello...My name is Sara and currently living in New York, USA.  Currently going thru a divorce and hope soon to marry the man of my dreams.  I suffered an ectopic pregnancy seven years ago. Tried an invitro that failed and also artificial insermination that failed.   When I marry my sweet man we will like to try again.  He is 49 and I am 46 soon to turn 47.  He has a son from a former marriage.  Is there hope for me to get pregnant naturally at my age.  I do get my period pretty regularly every month.

You might not release an egg every month despite having a period so it mightjust take a bit longer to conceive if you are able to. DDon't be disheartened it might take some time though so the fertility treatments could be an option if you get to have insurance again. The other post is right though you may not make it to full term and there is a higher risk of defects. I wish you luck for a healthy sticky bean x

You are right, Medicaid won't (and shouldn't) pay for any infertility treatments. All I can suggest is once your divorce is final,  perhaps you and your partner can get married and he may have good health insurance that pays for fertility treatments. Otherwise, you can just keep trying, track your ovulation and if you can afford to get some bloodwork done to check your hormone levels (FSH, prolactin, etc) that would be a good idea to, to see where you stand. But I would probably anticipate needing some help from a fertility doctor.

Would if i could but i have been unemployed for the past two years and currently on my soon to be ex husband's health insurance.  Once my divorce is final (should be in two months) i will only have my Medicaid to help me out.   Really don't think they will pay for any fertility treaments.

Get to an IVF clinic and talk to them about IVF with donor eggs.  Yes, there is still a chance of getting pregnant naturally at 47, but the chances are vanishingly small.  And then you will be dealing with possible birth defects due to your eggs being past 40 years old, and the chance that the baby will not make it to term.  You can still carry the baby, he can provide the sperm, but your donor can be 21 or 22 and a lot of problems will be avoided.
