Anyone ever take heparin during pregnancy

I have two questions.  The first one is my boobs still feel super full and very sore like the first weeks after conception, is that normal?  I thought they usually stopped hurting after the first few weeks.  I am 18 weeks pregnant.  The second question is has anyone taken heparin through their pregnancy?  I take 100 units a day through my picc line, I wanted to know if it caused any harmful effects to anyone's baby.  Thanks Ladies.

I am taking heparin to prevent small clots from forming inside my PICC line.  I have a picc line because I can't keep anything down, so I am on IV fluids daily at home and I have a zofran pump.  I was a small baby as well 5lb 4oz same as my sister, my mom was 6 lbs so there is a long history of small babies.

Why are you on the heparin if I may ask?  If it is due to blood clots they probably won't take you off.  That's why I have to go on them.  I dont know what it will do if you already have very small babies.  I haven't had a child yet.  I've had 4 miscarriages b/c of MTHFR.  I would ask just to know if the weight would be smaller.  I have heard that you go by the pregnant mother's birth weight as a child as to what her children will be if that was the case I'll be pushing 8-9lb babies! I would think that they would have taken you off if heparin would be a bigger problem.

I have very small babies anyway.  My first was 4lbs 2 weeks early and my second was 5lb 2 oz at full term.  I can't imagine them being any smaller than that.  I have an appt with the high risk OB thursday and I think I will ask if I should stop the heparin.

I don't have an answer to the first question.  I guess it would be normal due to the fact that your body is changing and your hormones are going crazy.

I am going to have to start heparin when I do get pregnant due to MTHFR (a mutation on a chromosome).  The only effects that it causes that the doctor warned me about is that you would probably go into labor at 30-35 weeks.  There is a chance you would go to 40 weeks but more than likely not.  Also, you would have a smaller baby that would range from 4-6 lbs.  I have seen info online about this also, but have not found any other harmful effects.
