Does anyone know if an infection of the uterus could cause spotting?? Or an etopic pregnancy? Maybe it's etopic and that's why i'm still testing negative..grasping at straws now. Had some more spotting the last few days..started off brown but now is red, only when i wipe, not enough of a flow to actually use pads.
i'm wondering if it could be an eptopic pregnancy and that's why i'm getting the negative hpts? Anyone have any experience with that?
yeah i've heard it's normal for breastfeeding but i'm not...my milk did come in but once we came home from the hospital i switched to formula. I bled for 2-3 weeks...stopped for a couple of weeks then had what i thought was my first period on August 13th. And nothing since other then the spotting..and by spotting i mean a tiny dot of blood mixed with mucous sometimes when i wipe.
I know with my children I didn't get a period for about 5 months after I had them because I was breastfeeding. I don't remember spotting after that time and I know I bled for about 2-3 weeks in total.
thanks...good to have some reassurance! Still really worried though because i feel pregnant. Tired, and i've had cramps for three weeks. That and the spotting has me really worried. I'm also worried i may have retained placenta or something and that's why i'm cramping. I've also heard of people actually being pregnant and not getting a positive urine test at all which scares me. Also have had diarrea for weeks now but that started before the night i would have concieved. If your hormones were still adjusting would that cause all of these symtoms? It just seems really weird to be having cramps like this for weeks :( I'd give anything for a period right now but i'm also scared because i know once it does come it'll probably be the worst one ever.
Well it's certainly possible that you may have conceived but from what you have said that doesn't sound likely.
A HPT should detect pregnancy two weeks after conception and should detect pregnancy by now if you conceived three weeks ago. If the positive result was not obtained within the correct time frame (usually 10mins) then it was a false positive.
I suggest you retest in 1 week. It can take months (even over a year) for a womens cycle to regulate after having a baby even when not nursing,
In my opinion your hormones are still regulating. Chances of being pregnant when you used the pull out method with irregular cycles with a negative HPT 3 weeks after the event are very, very, slim.
Update..took another First Response today and still negative...so tired though and crampy..i don't know what to think
I should also add that one Clear Blue Plus test i took was positive..that was Thursday and it was only after it was sitting for a few hours so i'm assuming it was a false positive. I've taken three early Response tests since then and they're all clearly negative. FREAKED me out though!!
Oh i forgot to add i would now be 21 days after conception if indeed i did concieve on the night we had sex....i would think i would have gotten a positive now since i have gotten early positives with both of my children.
