Light positve lines...

I went to the drs for testing yesterday, she did a urine test...came back and said she wasnt sure so she had to do it twice but then told me I was not pregnant.
Later that night, my boyfriend wanted to see a test for himself, I took a first response and got a light positive line. Which should I believe? I took it again this morning and got the same result a light postive. I had my period for about a day and a half Saturday-Sunday, then it stopped.
We checked it right away so its not an evaporation line. Its confusing for the both of us because its light, but Im thinking if its negative, there should be no second line at all!

So Dr. wont just give anyone a blood test until they get a positive urine test. If you got a line even a faint one on a HPT the likely hood is you are pregnant (assuming you followed it as directed and didnt read it later then they tell you to). Each day your HCG is going to double if you are pregnant, meaning it wont take you long to get a dark positive line. Maybe just wait a few more days, retest and see if you get a dark positive.

I did request a blood test when I called them, but they told me I could come in for a urine test, I dont understand why because I specifically wanted a blood test

I agree with Austin, you need a blood test to check your hCG levels.

Generally speaking, even a light line is considered positive (I researched this topic VERY thoroughly in early March when I got a light line on my own urine pregnancy test...I am now 20 weeks 2 days pregnant :)

you should request to have a blood pregnancy test done they are more accurate during early pregnancy (and you can't have a period while your pregnant but some women do experience some bleeding during pregnancy)
