Thats correct after ovulation your temp will rise and stays this way,until your period is due.then it drops again,if you have concieved it will stay up throughout pregnancy.as for how high etc,everyones body temp is different.im currently pregnant and temps range from 97.8 to 98.2 ,as long as its higher than pre ovulation temps your fine,try looking at fertility friend explains your temps in more depth.
In addition to what tarajanes said, you can't just go on your regular temperature taken at any time. You need to go with your basal body temperature....It can be taken orally, rectally or vaginally....but should be taken at the SAME time EVERY morning...before you sit up, get out of bed, talk, drink, smoke or anything...it's like wake up reach for thermometer on bed side table and stick it in your mouth....
