low birth weight

So went to my weekly visit yesterday babygirl is a little over 5lbs  but they said only at 19% of her weight percentile very worried i tlk to my doc they wanna send me to a specialist trying not to worried but have any of u ladies been told this

They keep telling me my daughter's waist isn't growing and that she's only in the 7th percentile for her waist. They want me to be seen 3 times a week. But they don't officially know if something is wrong. I think your baby is just gonna be small. I wouldn't stress out.

I have been told that and I also see a specialist. My baby is not really under weight but she is short. I go to a sono specialist every 2 weeks

Yup! They told me my son was around that too..  I just had him Monday and he was 6 pounds 11 ounces so he was a petite baby but all healthy.

I always say this lol but when they did a test to my baby they said he was bigger then.he was born , i wouldnt worry to.much because the tests aint always accurate. Good luck

With my first my son was underweight for his age apparently. He was born at 35weeks and weighed 4lbs 7oz.

She still has 5 weeks to grow... Idk why it wks b a concern. It sounds like a good weight...
