My cousin is called aedan
My sons name is aidan. when I first named him that I didn't know any other aidans at all! Spelling was never a problem. but now with him being in school with ALL the other ones its been a little confusing with spelling. I actually had one teachers helper try to teach him to spell it AIDEN. Not to mention all his doctors records pretty much say aiden. Its a constant battle I wish I didn't have to deal with. There was even an issue with his baseball team they spelled his name wrong on his trophy and I had to pay out of pocket to get it fixed.
My son name is Christian spelled Khrystian. I only changes 2 letters people act like its spelled so unique I always say its only two letters. But I do have to spell it for people I dnt mind. I think its up to you in the long run. Im one that never believed being different was a bad thing.
I'd personally spell it the traditional way, the name Aiden is already very popular with parents naming there kids that now, so chances are there will be a few in the same classroom or school as your son. So I agree with sorenr about always having to spell it out. Us as parents might not mind but the child is gonna probably get annoyed after a few years of having to spell it out or correcting people.
I like the unique spellings too! And I like A'Den as firsttimer suggested, never seen it spelt that way, and it definitely looks right!
My sons name is Ayden. And like someone mentioned above, I'm always having to correct the spelling to people. I could careless but that's something to think about!
Thanks for the help everyone
I love unique spelling my sons middle name is izaiah as yu can tell I decided to go with a Z instead of n S
I dont want to try to put you off, but my name, like Aiden, is one which when people hear it they think they know how to spell it so start writing only for me to have to correct them, its pretty frustrating and embarrassing to always have to spell it out and correct people every time.
As I say, I'm genuinely not trying to put you off, just have a think about him being asked his name and always having to reply "its Ayden.....no sorry, not with an i, its a y". I always feel the need to appologise to people for it! I looooove the name though!
My favorite is Aydin. I love the name choice!
Aidan, Aidin, Ayden, Aydan, Aydin, Ayeden?
