scarred

I'm so scarred to get attached to the baby growing in me. My husbands mother had a really hard pregnancy and he was born premature. But the women in my family have never had problems. I'm about 9 weeks along and I'm going in for the actual blood test today. Should I worry? I'm just scarred to love this growing baby, its a miracle we conceived in the first place

I don't think the husbands genes have much to do with your pregnancy, it would be more likely if your mother or people on your side of the family had these issues. I'm not sure if similar pregnancies are genetic or not, but they seem to be in my case. Me, my mom and my grandmother all have very quick labors, my mom had her last baby in 45 minutes, my grandma labored for less then 3 hours with all her kids, and I'm about the same. Try not to worry!

I know how you feel! My husband was born two months early and the due date we were giving was his due date! I worried so much that our son was foun to come early just like him! It's hard to not worry but you have to concentrate on other things then the possibilities of lossing the baby! stress like that will just wear on te body and cause problems! The worrying will go away the further along you get! Especially after the first trimester when the risk of miscarriage is reduced greatly!
