Being sick with a cold and cough while pregnant is the worst. Any sickness and pregnant *****! It takes so much longer to get better! I have a stuffy/runny nose and a horrible cough that will not go away! What are some over the counter medicine that you moms have taken to get rid of a cough? Anything? I am coughing so much that my chest hurts and throat now :( my doctor prescribed me z pac last time I had this 3 weeks ago and it didn't work. Now its been a week since I've been well and now I got it back and I have it all over again! :( help! Please ...

I have the same problem and someone told me to rub vapor rub under my feet and put on socks and it has actually helped with my cough.I have also taken benadryl and claritin which has helped in some ways.

Same here...had the flu last week. Been taking Robitussin DM for the cough and staying hydrated and loaded up on vitamin c

I know your pain!I have the same thing you do. My doctor told me that I could take sudafed for congestion which usually eases my cough and clears my breathing. It works so long as you take it about every 4 or 6 hours. I'm also on amoxicillin too. Robitussin also helps with cough too just make sure it is the alcohol free one.
