sweet or salty?

Hey everyone. So I've been told that if a woman is carrying a girl, that she will crave sweet things and for a boy salty things. I've been cracing sweets real bad and not knowing what I'm having, but my friend is having a boy and craves salty things. Anyway, does this hold true for anyone else? Please let me know because I really want a girl. :D

i dont know if much truth in these things but when i was pregnant wih my son i wanted everything salty i loved macdonalds chips n i also loved meat n pasta

I was convinced I was having a boy off that old wives tell.. because in the beginning of my pregnancy I always wanted chips and pickles. But that is slowly changed to cake or cupcakes and Gummies. And I'm expecting a baby girl in November. :) But my current craving Sour Gummy Worms!  ;)

I don't think its true because with this pregnancy I prefer salty foods over sweets...and its a GIRL. That's because when I wasn't pregnant I had a huge sweet tooth!

I don't know...I was craving salty stuff full on for ages, then would swap to sweet and back again, but mainly salty stuff for ages...and I'm having a girl :)

Not for me i had every symptom of a boy. And having a girl. Carried low, ate a lot of chips pasta spicy foods ect.

Not true for me, I craved salty, savoury foods with my last pregnancy (Daughter) and i'm craving the same now (not sure of the gender, will update when I find out in 5 weeks.) I don't think there's any truth on it, Think about it, the chance of it being true is 50/50. lol.

Untrue, I have always been a sweets fan but all I want is salty or sour foods now and Im having a sweet little girl.

I crave both salty and sweet things with both of my pregnancies.First was a girl and this one are twin boys so I think it just depends on the person.

Im 37+3 with my first and going with the surprise and waiting to find out. It's hard to not find out but fun to play the old wives tales things. I have been craving a little of both. Started out with ham and pretzels but now Im on a pineapple strawberry and ice cream kick. Could just be the season with the heat. I also tried the baking soda test. You put 1Tbsp baking soda in a cup and add your urine. If it fizzes you are having a boy and if it does nothing you are having a girl. Both of these tell me I am having a boy!!!

I've never heard of this but must be true! I'm always craving brownie ice cream and honey buns! And yup having a girl :)

I don'tt think it's true cuz I craved spicy, sour, and salty food with my daughter and I'm craving pretty much the same stuff this time but we're hoping for a boy this time :)

I definately have eaten more candy with this preh=gnancy im 18 weeks, with my son i also craved sugar, but then again more salt at the same time... fingers crossed for a girl though

Definitely not true haha. I crave sweets alll the time I'm 27 weeks with a boy. Chocolate is my downfall

with all 3 pregnancies i craved sweet,  always wanted chocolate or ice cream or basically anything sweet. i have 3 boys, i never craved salty.

I craved grapefruit with salt and then now its tabasco and I'm having a girl. I really don't know if there is any truth to that one. My mom craved rapefruit with salt also with me and both my sisters.

I think its true, with my first Baby i was craving for all kinds of sweet like strawberrys with.cream mmmm and i had a Baby Girl, now this pregnancy its totally diferent cause in just craving for like chips with sauce and that kind of stuff not sweet at all and im having a Baby boy! =)

I craved sweet stuff with my first, I had a boy. My second I craved both sweet and salty, also a boy. This one I really have no cravings, and I'm having a girl.
