If she seemed negative and said you had a blighted ovum, and if it is really your sixth week after having had an IVF transfer, I am sorry, but I would believe her. Usually by the sixth week after the transfer (which would be week 8, gestational age), you can see more than a sac, it is usually a little acrobatic embryo that is twirling and swimming around. I'm sorry, but as she said, I'd be prepared to find that the pregnancy did not take hold.
Hi annie. She could only clearly see a sac. I tried to be positive. But she seemed negative. I think she said she could see something but could not see what she wanted to see to confirm anything. I said at least its not a no straight off but she advised me to be prepared for a blighted ovum.
It could be that a sac formed and that was all that happened. She saw nothing else?
