Stethoscope

Does any of you ladies have a stethoscope? I've read that I could hear baby's heartbeat. Now I got me one and I hear nothing ;(

Should I put more pressure? How can I find the body (cause I think on baby's head I'll still hear nothing)?

Any advice?

You need a really good quality one. Some are not that great. You can use them to hear baby.

^^^ yes you can hear your babies heart with one. There are still midwives that use one instead of a Doppler. And it even tells you on this app if you watch the video they put up for weeks 25-28 that you can.

You might be mistaking what you read.  I've never seen it written anywhere that a fetal heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope, and certainly never had a doctor listen to my stomach with a stethoscope when I was pregnant.  You might have read that the baby's heartbeat can be heard with a handheld doppler with a wand.  They can be bought from hi-bebe's website for not a whole lot of money (I think $75 to 100) and are very nice to have.
