tattoos

I know most all moms are going to flip out over controversial topics like this but I just got to ask.. I have a good number of tattoos and have never once had anything go wrong with them as far as infections and stuff so I decided to get another one the other day its on my arm and feels and looks great.. I am 21 weeks pregnant but not really showing I read all the papers and saw nothing about pregnancy and risks associated with tattoos.. I could understand if you were getting one directly on your baby bump but like I said I got it on my arm.. Does any one els feel like its OK to do so uf you know your body your artist and your pain talorance ??.. I know for a fact that were I go is clean and safe. And I have wonderful hygiene So I feel there is nothing wrong with it

It really isn't going to hurt you or the baby to wait.

Lol I think it's safe to say anyone that risks an infection while pregnant is....well I don't have to even say it. If anything does happen let's just hope you can live with yourself after.

I've thought about it myself but figured it would cause too much stress to the baby honestly you'll probably be fine.  Not like you can take it back so just take care of the tattoo.

honestly it doesn't matter how clean a shop is. the concern comes from the ink which goes in your blood stream. i have tattoos as well and the needle pokes you idk only several hundred times! i wouldn't do it pregnant. that's something that could of waited. If they knew you were pregnant more then likely they wouldn't have tatted you. thats not professionalism

I once had a tattoo done on my right side near my pelvic bone when i was about 8 weeks pregnant. At the time i didnt know i was pregnant..i didnt get no infection and felt no abnormal pain. However had i of known i was pregnant i wouldnt have had one done. I agree with the ladies who say we only have to wait 9 months then you can do what you like. Id like a few more tattoos after this pregnancy but i will wait about a yr or so as i want to breastfeed too and this is something our tattoos recommend to leave until were finished feeding.
