In Canada my ob never mentioned the whooping cough vaccine to me just the the flu shot. However, I decided against the flu shot because it takes two weeks to become effective and only covers flu and not the common cold and 60-70% effective too
I agree with you. I am not against them at any rate. Our 4 yr old has all her vac. I am seeing a different doctor then I did with her and things go so fast he talks so fast and he's out of the room with in a few minutes. I don't feel like I get all the answers I feel and want. He really pushes the vaccines and then walks away. I just wanted to know more about the vaccine in general.
My best friend did not get the whooping cough vaccine and her newborn had No antibodies and caught it at 2.5 weeks. Sadly he died a week later since he had no immune system t to fight the infection. My best friend blamed herself...attempted suicide....was hospitalized for 6 months because she went crazy. She blamed herself. Although I'd never say this and I supported her because she is my friend but she was right. She read bogus research turning her from vaccinations and ultimately her child died from something she could have easily prevented. She has had 3 kids since And all including herself have been vaccinated. I've had all my vaccines. I won't risk my child's life for something petty and preventabl and I certainly won't act like I know more then the experts because I know how to use google. It's a personal choice. Just make sure that if you don't do it you can live with the consequences of what can haopen to your child.
I am not going to or not going to get the shot due to anyone's opinion besides my own. I was jsut curious as to what every ones opinions were. In the end it's my choice and I'll do what I feel is right for my children and i. Thank you all
My mother didn't get a flu shot or whopping vaccine when she was pregnant with me. Im just fine ! Im pregnant now. I've never gotten a flu shot and im not going to get one just because im pregnant.
Ok here is a fact. 100 years ago before the whooping cough vaccine 200,000 babies in the u.s. died every year from whooping cough. Today there are only 13,000 cases I'm the u.s. each year.
