Can I be pregnant??

Hello everyone!! I am new at this forum but i wanted to ask you if i could still be pregnant. I am 21 years and this is my situation. I had unprotected sex on October 6th, it was my first time. I was supposed to have my period on October 11th and it didn't come. 2 days later i had kind of a period for 5 days a brownish-red discharge . I thought maybe it was implantation bleeding (was freaked out) I have always been very regular till last month that I had 2 periods in a month I think it was because I moved from one country to another to study. I have taken a lot of home pregnancy tests and they have all been negative. I had a blood test done 2 weeks ago and was negative and I had a blood test (quantitative) done yesterday had the results today and is negative but lately I have been having headaches, I am tired, I think my breasts are bigger and I have back pain. I don't know if it is hormonal or the stress. All I can think is that maybe the hormone is not showing yet. I have been so scared this month I have not stop thinking about it. Can I be pregnant and still have negative tests if it has been a month since i had sex?? Hope someone can help me :S

No, you wouldn't be pregnant. A quantitative blood test looks for and measures the exact amount of hCG in the blood. If the symptoms you felt were pregnancy, it would mean the hormone is more than high enough in your system. Everything you've described are typical things people have every single day. Humans get headaches, we get tired, and we have back pain. You could think your breasts are bigger, especially when the idea of pregnancy consumes your mind, as you've stated it has.

Next time you have sex, use protection to avoid future instances like this. It would also be good for you to look into birth control as well for added protection.

Thank you very much. Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment to check me out. To see if it is something hormonal. I will ask for birth control, so I will not freak out the next time.
