What will a blood test show?

Okay so my last period was in June and I just started it again yesterday :( and I made an appointment to get a blood test done to see if I was pregnant should I still go to that appointment or would it be a wast of my time considering I just got my period??

My bestie missed what would have been her first period and then had normal periods right up until the week before she pushed out a baby! Get a test to be on the safe side

Is it a normal period? Cuz you could have implantation bleeding which ifs often confused fir a light period.
