Stopped taking the pill - Please give some advice

Hello, I was on the pill and had the seven day break, my period arrived on 30th August. I was suppose to start a new pack on 4th September but didn’t. Me and my partner had sex on that night (4th Sept) and then on 9th, 10th and 11th September. He is aware I stopped taking the pill (wasn’t agreeing with me) and he has been withdrawing but ejaculated on the 4th September – I know this is not a safe method but we have been together for a couple of years and are happy in our relationship – a child would be welcomed and loved.
I have been experiencing cramps in my stomach (and legs), feeling very tired and today started having headaches when I never usually suffer from them. From the dates, when do you think I should take a pregnancy test ? I have another week and half until my period and wanted advice in the mean time. Thanks!

Hi just to update you.

I'm on the 5th day of waiting for my period to arrive, taken several HPT and they have all come out negative - even the Clear Blue digital so I'm guessing my body is adjusting to me coming off the pill. Will just have to wait for it but deep down I'm still hoping I am. I have read some women test negative for a while. That's wishful thinking for me!!

Thanks for taking the time to reply Clysta. The symptoms have subdued a little but then got me thinking again when my mum commented on my breasts yesterday!!!
I understand children are a huge responsibility however I've been responsible in my adult life so far. I have been in the same job for 5 years, I own my home as does my partner and I have a car and savings. I do feel if you have some financial security/independence that will put less pressure on a relationship but who knows - he says he wants the same thing so we will see. I'll keep you posted but in the meantime if anyone else had or has a similar experience please share.

It's definitely possible you could be, but the best time to take a pregnancy test is when you're already late/due on your period. You definitely however need to be VERY ready for the responsibility of children if you want them. Regardless of how long you've been together they're far more demanding (and expensive) than people realize and many couples fall apart when child come into the picture.
