how long after you miss your period should you take pregnancy test

i am new to the site and was hoping someone could clarify some information. i am currently ttc and am 6 days late for my period i have taken pregnancy tests x2 both bfn. i was told by friends i should wait at least 2 weeks after i miss my period to take the test is this correct? a family member just tested positive after 1 day late. i am so confused and disappointed at this point. thanks

Hi I had sex on my fertile days and when I ovulated. In sept I spotted but not my usual pd. I'm regular 28 day and then I spotted in oct. Now its noov 3rd I'm still waiting I went to take two blood tests they were neg. I'm still waiting

Hi every1 im 4 months late but ive done about 7 tests and the all say negitive? Im very confused my boobs hurt nipples have gone bigger and ive put loadz of weight on plz help me! Kel x

I haven't had my period since oct 28 was due the 28 today is 4 still hvent had it all test say negative but I have pregnancy symptoms what should I do?

i havent had my period since september 28th which is the day that it ended. i usualy get my period 23 days after my last period which would mean that i was supposed to get it on october 21st. it is now nov. 5th, about 2 weeks late and still no sign of it coming. i took a pregnancy test today and it said negitive. idk what to do.

I am over 2 wks late. Ive taken two test the day after, and the week after I knew I was late. I also went and took a urine test at the doctors also negitive. I have no more stress than normal, I have not been sick, my weight has been normal. My breasts do hurt, I pee more frequently, head aches. yes, and Im constently tired. My back is always hurting.! What do I do now, wait ? Im am always on time, within a day or so. I have been pregnant before I was only a few days late and  the test was postivie, I did have a miscarriage. So I am very nervous. Help ?.

Hi!

My last period was on october 17 I have my calender with which day is my "most fertil day -> 14 " and I have suppost my counts almost 4 days tomorrow and I have felt tired and eating little more than I use but I took today a test came out negative. Am I pregnant?

Any advice is worthy and thank you so much in advance :)

P.S. yes I have unprotected sex twice.
