how long after you miss your period should you take pregnancy test

i am new to the site and was hoping someone could clarify some information. i am currently ttc and am 6 days late for my period i have taken pregnancy tests x2 both bfn. i was told by friends i should wait at least 2 weeks after i miss my period to take the test is this correct? a family member just tested positive after 1 day late. i am so confused and disappointed at this point. thanks

hi, my period is 6 days late , i have take a pregnancy test 3 times and they all came up negative. last month may i have my period for 2 days and then it stop 2 day later gotta back and then stop until now. i'm more tired them usual..im a lil over weight doctor say the that can cause period to be late, however i always been regular til now. do you think am pregnant?

Im 18 and my bf of 22 have been having unprotected sex since 2 weeks after my last period, which was may 28(my last period). hes been pulling out everytime he finishes. my period is never on the same exact day each month, it always changes.. i've been 2 days late already (if i were to get it the same exact day as last time May 21) and im kind of worrying. i havent had any symptoms at all. last time we had sex was wednesday of last week and not having anymore until i get birth control. can someone please tell me if i should get a test or wait or if im just freaking out for no reason. i would really appreciate an answer, please and thank you (:

I am also new to this sight and I am trying to get pregnant I have been having sex since the 6/11 and today I am suppose to start my period the only sighn of that is light pink discharge I have had all the eirly symtoms but some also come with a period I have taken a hpt and the results were negitive could I still be preganant and what is the light pink discharge.
