Could a negative blood test be wrong?

First of all, I had a miscarriage November 2. I was only around 4-5 weeks along.
This month I missed my period and I'm 18 days late. I've had nausea, bloating, gas, mood swings, breast tenderness, etc.
I had a faint positive on the 8th but when I went to get a bloodtest it was not in the range for how far along I should be. Could it be wrong? Or am I in denial?
There hasn't been blood or pain.
Thanks.

I would wait a week or 2 and then take another home test. If there hasn't been any blood then I don't think it's a miscarriage. If the home test is positive with any kind of faintness on the line then I would go back to the doc and get another blood test.

I should include that the doctor thinks I miscarried again.
