trying again after D&C when to test ?

okay so i had a missed miscarriage which i had to get a D&C 4 weeks ago, this is my second miscarriage and i am trying again. the doctors recommended i wait for my first cycle before trying again but also said as a mum who miscarried too said to just try again straight away after i stopped bleeding. i stopped bleeding 2 days and after and we were right back to trying again (no judgement comments, have checked with doctor its fine) and just wondering when i should take a pregnancy test ? i have been told it can take up to 2 months for your period to return and its only been 1 month but would love to know if im pregnant or not. should i just wait the extra month or test now ?

I've had 2 miscarriages, one in December of 2013 at around 7 weeks and another one in august 2014 at around 9 weeks. I conceived again in October 2014, less than 2 months after my last miscarriage. I am happy to report I am now 35 weeks and baby boy is doing great, almost time to meet him. I think each women's body is diffrent, I have read that it is easier to conceive after a miscarriage because your body is already prepared to be pregnant. I hope all goes well for you this time around and you get your little miracle!

Take your test as soon as you will normally be late after a period..you can conceive straight after miscarriage and go on to have a healthy pregnancy and baby we have experienced it loads of times. Before our first daughter we lost, had dnc, fell pregnant with no period in between and had a normal pregnancy. Ours was a genetic problem and in total we have lost 10 but are almost due with our 4th baby. Don't give up it can happen and will. If you suffer again which I pray you don't...and gains your doc for and gains chromosome karyotype blood test for both you and your partner to see if there may be something genetic like what we have..it's a lot more common than people think. Don't wait too long like we had to either...those are precious years that slip by. Good luck...sorry for raving on.

I have had losses including a miscarriage. I always waited until I had my period before trying again, but as my cycle has never been regular my doctor told me if I go 6 weeks with no period take a test.

I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, it started around Thanksgiving and I am now 28 weeks pregnant. I got pregnant before my period I wasn't trying but I've read that you're body will be really fertile right after a MC. Good luck!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a D&c due to miscarriage in September and am 18wks pregnant now. I would recommend you wait to test until one week after a cycle window. So if you stopped bleeding from your surgery it should lighten up and then I had bleeding again about 20 days later like a period. Even though I used to cycle about 35 days. So... If you are 28 day cycler I would wait 4 weeks after bleeding symptoms. In the mean time you can skip drinking and keep taking vitamins. Good luck! Each negative hurts but 6 months is about average for conceptions. Hang in there!

You need to let your body heal. Not because you feel better means that you body has fully healed. Everyone is different but if your body hasn't it will cause complications n you might end up going thru another miscarriage. Causing more grief for you n your husband. Just wait as the doctors recommend
