Labor before 40 weeks

What are the chances someone has their baby before 40 weeks if their first and second we're 3&8days over due?

Ok - no induction with my first or second they went on their own at 40.3 and 41.1. My 3rd was induced @ 39 due to medical issues.  I'd rather go in before I have to get induced again  but I guess I have to wait and see what comes first lol

I'm a ftm and had my son at 37+3 just two weeks ago. I didn't do anything to get labor going. I didn't get contractions either. My water just broke. I think it depends. My baby was ready

Out of all my friends I have noticed very few of them have made it to 40 weeks. My cousin has 4 kids and hers all came bang on due date or a day before or after though. With mine I've only had 1 come before 40 weeks out of 3. :)

Rare but not unheard of. Typically subsequent labors go faster but not always. It also depends on how accurate your due date is and what caused you to go into labor both other times. If you were induced due to being past your date, I'd probably expect to go past again.
