Do dogs sense pregnancy ?

i think my dog knew I was pregnant as soon as I became pregnant Bc he became very overprotective of me like he went from sleeping on my bf side of the bed to sleeping on my side only and growls when strangers get near my home he use to never do that he's a friendly dog but now he be ready to attack other dogs who come near me and sorry for the TMI but the last time me and my bf were having sex our dog came running ready to defend me Bc he thought my bf was hurting me and that's his dog really so it was so weird of him doing that and now he's just so stuck to me and I've thought him he's not allow in the baby's room and he doesn't go in he knows better and stays at the door way

I have two fur babies my spoiled kitties and they definitely know. The bigger one won't step on my tummy but she sleeps up against it and the baby kicks when she purrs and the smaller one follows my everywhere even when I shower and when I'm sinking on the couch she lays on my lap with her paws on my baby bump. Animals can absolutely sense it.

I have birds and they are the same way. My 18 year old cockatiel got so clingy to me before I even knew I was pregnant. He flew to me every time I left the room and now he will sit on my tummy for hours. He's felt the baby move more than my husband. Our animals just know <3 They can probably smell the hormonal change, dogs in particular.

My old dog knew I was pregnant. Then she knew I was in labor.
She was on my chest when I woke up, and didn't leave my side once all day!! Few hours later I was in the hospital!
