I really didn't start showing good until I was six months pregnant. I did get thicker around my middle with baby bloat and all of that, but it was so small that I honestly just looked kinda chunky for a while. I resorted to wearing maternity clothes because I had lost a lot of weight due to my hyperemesis and that helped me feel like I was showing a bit more, even though I wasn't. When I left the hospital after I delivered the nurse commented that it should be a crime to be able to walk out of the hospital looking like I had never been pregnant. I of course had to argue as my belly still doesn't look nearly the same! lol. Just remember, we all have different body types and as such our pregnant belllies all grow differently and at different rates.
Not showing doesn't mean any problems with you or with baby. Just means you're growing them differently! I'm 5'3" so my belly pops out really fast but taller women, even slim women, can be further along before showing.
i was 100 lbs at the start of this pregnancy.. I felt the same way you did, I started showing around 14 weeks but it was barely showing.. I am only really starting to look pregnant at 18 weeks instead of just like i am getting a bit pudgy.. but even then sometimes, depending on what i am wearing, you can cover it.. Found i had to start altering my clothes around 14 weeks and even the elastic isnt working for me so its all stretch pants and now i got some maternity pants.. So there was a huge difference in the 4 weeks... and there has been another big increase in the last 2 weeks (from 16 to 18)
I am terrified of being so small and my baby measuring small .. my last us was at 14 weeks and I was measuring right on but of course i am scared agian but everyone shows differently..
I know a girl at work who is 28-29 weeks pregnant and she is not very big still (know others whoa re that far along and huge). When this person was 20 weeks, she looked pregnant but it was not that noticable so i try to use that to kind of rest my mind about ....
I was 98lbs when I got pregnant and did not show until my 6th month. It depends on lots of factors such as baby position and how tight your abs are. With the more pregnancies you have the sooner you show as well (full term pregnancies). With my second I started showing at 3 1/2 months. So some of those pictures you saw could be people on their 2nd + pregnancy.
Pregnancy effects women differently since all women are different. I wouldn't be worried if you are not showing, with my first I was a size 9 and I didn't start showing until I was well into my 4th month. In fact I could wear my normal clothes without any discomfort until I was six months along. Now I am preggo again, started at a size 11 and am almost 8 weeks. I have already gained weight and my clothes are all snug. I actually started wearing maternity pants. I'm at the point where it looks like I've been gaining weight, but not to the point where I look preggo. So don't stress. You'll look preggo before you know it. Sometimes it happens as if over night. : )
