2 embarrassing questions...

Okay...so these questions I have are a bit embarassing but I need to know if this is something that is normal/common during pregnancy, or if anybody has had the same problem, or if it's serious...
First question: I am having trouble "deficating" and when I do go I end up straining alot, I try not to but I just can't control it...it feels like I'm harming my baby and if feels like if I strain too much the baby will come out...is straining harmful to the baby??? Can the baby really come out from doing it too much....
Second question: For about a month, everytime I sneeze I have on and off VERY SHARP pains that go straight to my OMG this is so embarrasing ...my anal area...the other day I sneezed while lying down on my side and it felt like a knife just went through "that area" and for a good 15 minutes I was unable to move it felt like...I dunno but it hurt BAAD!!! Does this happen because of the pregnancy and maybe because the baby pushes against that area because he gets startled by the sneeze??? Or is this something I should go to the doctor's for??
I know these questions sound crazy but it's really bothering me...and I just need to know if it's normal or not...thanks...

i had something sort of the same. every time i would sneeze i had sharp pains between my legs and then i would actually pee a few drops(TMI) my doc said it was because drinking my fluids to fast which would cause my bladder to contract when i coughed or sneezed.

You cannot push the baby out. Your cervix is closed VERY tightly. However, straining could cause you to have a hemorroid (when part of the intestines comes out).

So def. don't strain! Eat loves of prunes, fiber-filled cereals, and juices (Treetop Apple Juice or try a prune juice). Dairy/cheese and carbs and iron can "stop you up".

The pain you feel after sneezing is ANNOYING and uncomfortable, but totally normal.

I'm having the opposite bowel problem....diarrhea...complete with cramping...

As for the pains...I get pains usually in my lower left abdominal area on the inside after sneezing or coughing really hard.  They sometimes linger for awhile.

Beautifullychaotic is correct- The baby won't come out if you strain too hard. I'm having a problem w/constipation too, and it sux.

But you could try a stool softner.

I was and still am constipated and try not to strain when I go to bathroom...it's hard not to. But I know it needs to come out! LOL. The baby will not come out, I assure you. But definitely becareful and don't strain too hard. You may need more fiber in your diet and that may help ease things and also make sure you are drinking plenty of water. As for the sneezing...very common to get sharp pains. I always got them very low in my abdomen and as well as my vaginal area. There is a lot of stretching going on right now to make room for that baby! There were times I would feel pressure on my bottom...very annoying. I think you are okay, but if you are really concerned you can always call your doc! =)

If you are having bad constipation, which it sounds like then tell your doctor. Constipation is normal, and they can prescribe you pills to help. I am on some myself, because I was having the same trouble.
If you don't have a dr. appointment coming up then I would make one so you can talk to them about this.
